About PEP
The Rev. Peter Frazier-Koontz , Ph.D. joined PEP as Project Director April, 1, 2007. He is a Presbyterian clergy with background in the parish, counseling, and education. After receiving the M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary, he served two congregations in Iowa before completing eight quarters of CPE at the Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha. He received an M.A. in counseling psychology and a Ph.D. in adult education from UNL. He was a pastoral counselor and outpatient therapist at the Community Mental Health Center of Lancaster County for 22 years before accepting a call to the position of Executive Presbyter of Homestead Presbytery. After retiring in 2005, Peter continued his practice as a pastoral counselor and consultant and is with Counseling Affiliates of Nebraska in Lincoln. Peter is married to Mickie, an ELL middle school teacher in Lincoln. The two have lived in Lincoln for over 26 years.
